Michael Miller was an active duty Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corps for seven years. While on active duty, he spent a year and a half as a court-martial defense counsel where he dealt with a wide range of cases including child and spousal abuse as well as sex crimes. He was the Officer in Charge of the legal assistance office at Camp Lejeune . While at legal assistance, he dealt with a variety of family law issues including divorce, support, wills and estate planning, and consumer protection. He was later assigned to the Naval Justice School in Newport , Rhode Island to instruct judge advocates and paralegals on civil law matters of family law and estate planning. Mr. Miller maintains an affiliation with the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Mr. Miller has an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Utah . He regularly uses this background and experience to analyze complex financial matters arising in the course of complex divorce and equitable distribution matters. He has been in private practice with Maddox, Cole & Miller for over six years and has handled cases involving virtually every area of family law. Mr. Miller received his J.D. from the University of Akron .
