Ms. Cox also drafted proposed changes to legislation affecting the Family Court in Delaware. In an effort to reduce fatal incidents of domestic violence, Ms. Cox drafted and helped to implement a Writ of Sequestration used by Commissioners granting the police authority to take weapons out of an abuser's possession before being served with a Protective Order. In addition to her judicial clerkship duties, Ms. Cox was a member of both the Juvenile Justice Reform Committee and the Commission on Runaway Youth for the State of Delaware.
